Thanks for the post and link Matty. Unfortunately, I don't think that gamers should have to download a fix that should have been put into the game as an option in the first place, lol. I just think that EA/Dice really dropped the ball. Especially in knowing that there wasn't a replacement coming for BF2. They had a ton of people lined up waiting for it, and could have raked it in with the proper meshing of the two games.

It basically messes with a config or settings.ini file in the game folder, but gamers shouldn't have to go through all that just to fix some very basic options. You can definitely tell they've got console gamers in mind, and while it's nice they left us PC gamers the options to change a bunch of things, it's not in the easiest or most user-friendly way Granted, I do still enjoy the game, but that won't stop me from going back and playing BF2 as well. Guess I'm stuck in the middle somewhere. I like BC2 because it's something new and fresh (seeing as how I've been playing BF2 for the past 4+ years). But then again, BF2 was and is such a great game that it can't be replaced, and still has such amazing gameplay and fun times.

Basically a new person here! As stated before I'm building a rig, just to keep up and needed to be done! Still a big fan of BF2, and have not played BFBC2 yet. Still a few weeks out. I've tried many new games and always seem to go back to BF2 and the mods. You or your squad can change during game play and make it interesting. I played COD WAW for a while and had a good time until certain servers opened up allowing mega points and everyone started running around with flame throwers. I'm like Howler in the aspect I would like to see console gaming and PC gaming kept seperate to a certain extent. Nothing against either, I like to game for more than visual and sound affects, or how quick can you push the proper button? LOL Looking forward to gaming, not sure where I'm headed either, just like many others right now.

Hey guys after reading the posts I think I will stay away from BC2 for now. I really enjoy PR and spend most nights in there. As Howler and Tweez can attest, there are nights that the maps have some smacktards but for the most part you can find a great game in the hardcore servers such as 49th, Blackwater, or Virginia. The Texas and TBA servers have a few more PITA than the before mentioned but still alot of fun. We have been having some fun teaming up. Nothing funner than a squad of XH playing PR IMO unless its Howler spitting and fuming over the game play of the smacktards .

I am sticking with PR as I can get a pretty good butt woopin there anytime. If you wade through the smacktards there are still a lot of great players out there and they like the teamwork. I have converted our PR server to COOP for a bit so that if you want a quick game then anyone can hope in. I know some have issues with PR running and thats unfortunate. I was have issues with PB kicking me and found out I just needed to turn off my anti virus cause it was holding up the packets. Bru...we gotta get ya to turn on xfire or hope on ts and let us know where your hangin so we can join ya. Missing the redneck dwarf...aint go no one to chase sheep with. Howler keeps pushing me to chase humvees! lol

I can no longer play BF:BC2 Online until I get a new vid card... with the original launch day files, I could at least play with all settings to low... But now that they have updated it quite a few times since launch, my 7800GT is not cutting it... Looking to go to a GTX 260 soon...
